I'm seeing people come and go as the years go by, and my original watchlist is but a shadow of its former self. I suppose I should have taken down my stuff ages ago in preparation for a new stream of conciousness, but that stream never came. So I'm still on hiatus, but I need to start itching the mentals a little bit because there are needs I need to fulfill, and I can't guarantee that art will be the first.

I didn't know who to "endorse" as candidate for the next U.S. president, but after watching the debates, I made a decision which I told myself I wouldn't really make until I gave both a fair shot in one-on-one combat, and Kerry came out on top. Idealistic drivel does nothing for a rational thinker like myself, and Bush raised many more questions about his capability as president than he answered. He had no real solutions. I honestly think another four years in his hands wouldn't be so bad, to give him time to finish what he started, but his incompetency in the past couple of years really blew his credibility out of the water.

Anyways, I think the general quality of art here on is getting better. Maybe it's because I can't see as much of the crap anymore with the limited main-page display of recent deviations, but the feeling I get is that serious people are submitting more art, while the ones who submit for idle purposes are backing down due to lack of attention.

Anyways, here's to the community and its limitless creativity, and a hope for better times in this chaotic world of ours.
